In 1955, the first DS made its debut – and caused a sensation – at the Paris Motor Show, making its mark on automotive history. An innovative car, graceful and glamorous, it brought to life luxury French expertise and the spirit of the avant-garde which still today defines the philosophy at the heart of our DNA and inspires all our designs.

TECHNOLOGY
DS ACTIVE LED VISION
The first DS stood out with its directional lighting, DS 7 CROSSBACK and DS 9 have DS ACTIVE LED VISION. Made up of a primary projector and three moving modules which pivot according to the conditions, this innovative technology guarantees the best possible view of the road.
DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION
Faithful to the origins of DS Automobiles, hydraulic suspension has been replaced by DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION which instantly analyses data from the road to adjust how hard or soft the suspension is and guarantee the best possible ride comfort.
DS Cornets
Referencing the first iconic DS, the DS Cornets, located on either side of our DS 9, house the side parking lights. Slim and stylish, they perfectly compliment the iconic lighting of this elegant model.
